This spotlight is a quarterly snapshot for the KiwiSaver industry as at 30 June 2025.
Key insights include:

- The number of KiwiSaver members reaches a new maximum of 3.12 million members, and withdrawals reaches a new maximum of $517 per member.
- Employee contributions have reached a new maximum of $1.851 billion, with an average of $593 per member.
- Net contribution increased this quarter at $267 per member. This is due to a greater growth in net transfers.
- First Home Buyer Withdrawals reaches an all time high of $451.8 million, with an average of $145 per member.

- The gender gap in funds under management is gradually reducing from an average of 20% since 2022, to 18% last quarter, and to 17% this quarter.
- Permanent emigration withdrawals for males have increased, widening the gender gap of the withdrawal from a 44% female and 56% male split in March, to a 39% Female and 61% Male split.
