KiwiSaver Industry Spotlight September 2024

The FSC gathers industry data on KiwiSaver and publishes quarterly spotlights for the sector.

This spotlight is a quarterly snapshot for KiwiSaver at 30 September 2024.

Key insights include:

• Contributions have slightly increased, although contributions by member are lower than the previous year. 
• FUM has increased by $7 billion and there are 10,000 more members (both are at all time high).
• The average (mean) FUM by member has increased in $2,000 (currently over $35k by member).
• The FUM by gender difference is consistent at 20%, and has slightly decreased.
