On Wednesday, 27 March we celebrated the merger of FSC and Women in Super NZ with the launch of an enhanced focus on financial wellbeing, empowerment, and inclusion of women.
With a shared vision and goal to drive improved financial wellbeing for New Zealanders, we look forward to working collaboratively and effectively.
We were joined by keynote speaker Sarah Furness, former Royal Air Force Squadron Leader & helicopter pilot, who shared military-grade strategies for improved self-leadership, courage and resilience under fire. A master storyteller, Sarah’s fiercely honest and humorous account from a combat helicopter pilot was both uplifting and practical.
Overall, it was an exciting evening of networking, connecting and learning.

Speaker:
Sarah Furness
Former RAF Squadron Leader & Helicopter Pilot, Executive Coach and Author
In following her dream to become a combat helicopter pilot in the UK Royal Air Force, as Squadron Leader, Sarah has led many operational combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Sarah was the first female helicopter pilot to fly and lead UK Special Forces missions in Iraq.
Sarah’s experiences as a combat operational commander, helicopter pilot, mother and mindfulness practitioner have led her to develop her own unique strategies in training the mind to be a Jedi master under pressure. Sarah is sought out by fast critical thinkers who want to be extraordinary.
