New research from The Coalition to End Women’s Homelessness has revealed the alarming reality of homelessness in Aotearoa, where women make up 50% of the homeless population, with wāhine Māori disproportionately affected.

The FSC’s Empower Women are committed to supporting the financial confidence and wellbeing for all wāhine in Aotearoa.

On Tuesday 11 March, FSC and the members of the FSC's Empower Women community came together to explore some concerning financial challenges, alongside the solutions and aspirations women have for their lives.

Retirement Commissioner Jane Wrightson examined the troubling trends for women and older New Zealanders in retirement, as highlighted by Te Ara Ahunga Ora Retirement Commission, and how we can start to tackle them. Victoria Crockford, Project Director of the Coalition to End Women's Homelessness, will speak about the homelessness issue and the related research.
