FMA 'Hit Submit' events for financial advisers yet to complete their full licence application

The Financial Market Authority (FMA)'s “Hit Submit” campaign starts on 9 August and gives live hands-on support for financial advice providers (FAPs) yet to complete their Class 1 licence application.

The course consists of six free practical online sessions to help attendees complete their FAP full licence application. 

Based on the FMA’s “8 steps to applying for a FAP full licence” action plan, the sessions promise to unlock insights that will help make the Class 1 application process easier to navigate, easier to understand and easier to action.

All sessions are being held on Tuesday mornings from 8.30-9.30am, with the first session on 9 August and the final session on 27 September 2022.

Sessions include:

• Week One: Making a Start - getting the basics right
• Week Two: Navigating the online form - outsourcing, BCP & cyber security
• Week Three: Navigating the online form - competency
• Week Four: Navigating the online form - oversight and conflicts of interest
• Week Five: Navigating the form - code of conduct, complaints, record keeping
• Week Six: Finalising your application and getting ready to submit
