On Tuesday 27 February we were joined online with a panel comprising of leading research experts, including Ben Winterbourne, General Manager of Data Insights; Andrew Inwood, Global CEO of CoreData; and Emilie McCallum, Partner at Mosaic FSI.

Together, they provided an insight on how big data & AI how it will affect the financial services sector. 

The webinar also discussed best practices as well as common problems and potential solutions around the collection, use, and reporting of data.

With over a decade of growth and achievement at Data Insight, Ben's journey to his current leadership position reflects his deep expertise, drive and commitment. 

Ben's career, encompassing both agency and client-side roles in various sectors across Europe, North America and here in New Zealand, has armed him with a distinctive approach to business challenges. His ability to combine innovative and commercial thinking, with hands-on technical knowledge helps him guide businesses on the best course of action and helps them solve complex business problems.

Since taking on the role of General Manager in September 2021, Ben has been integral to both the operational and strategic facets of Data Insight. His focus on harnessing data analytics to meet the evolving demands of customers is central to both our client service and our position as an innovative leader in the analytics industry.

Andrew Inwood
Global CEO, CoreData

Andrew Inwood is the founder and principal of CoreData and has more than 30 years’ experience in the Australian financial services industry. He started his career at Rothschild Australia Asset Management where he headed the marketing team, before moving to AMP Investments where he spent more than a decade. During his time at AMP, he was seconded to Virgin Direct in the UK to help establish the finance and investment arm of the group.

Andrew returned to Australia to be marketing director of Wizard Home Loans. From Wizard he moved to Telstra where he spent three years as general manager of applications and hosted services, before leaving to start CoreData. In the past 20 years, CoreData has expanded out of Sydney to have offices in Perth, London, Boston and Manila.

He has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney ASIA.

Emilie McCallum

With over 15 years’ experience in banking, from Trade Finance to Correspondent Banking, leading teams and implementing departments, Emilie has spent much of her career working with international Financial Institutions and developing Thought Leadership.

Emilie has held positions in France, the UK, Australia and New Zealand where she excelled in building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with Customers, internal and external Stakeholders, in a multicultural and diverse environment, to enable efficient development and execution of growth strategies.

Richard Klipin - CEO

Richard is the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Council – New Zealand. He has extensive experience in leading and transforming Industry Associations, Life Insurance manufacturers and Financial Advice businesses, having held senior leadership roles in all sectors over the past 16 years. Organisations include Sovereign Assurance, ANZ Banking Group, Association of Financial Advisers and ING. Richard is known as a community builder, skilfully engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders to create common purpose, connection and enable collaboration.

Richard holds an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education from Macquarie University and recently completed the Denison Miller Senior Executive leadership program as well as the innovative ‘Rethinking Leadership’ program with the Hunger Project in India.
