Vale Brian Gaynor

We were deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the recent passing of Brian Gaynor, a prominent leader in New Zealand's financial services industry, whose expertise and passion helped shape New Zealand. 

Brian was the co-founder of fund manager Milford Asset Management in 2003. He was also an investor in BusinessDesk, which under his leadership transformed into the subscriber-based news platform it is today. 

He was also an articulate journalist and commentator on financial markets, penning many a column for publications such as the NZ Herald. 

As an industry and business leader he is a significant loss to New Zealand. The entire New Zealand community, including colleagues right across the sector mourn his passing.
