INFINZ and FSC collaborate to drive change and create impactful action for women in the finance sector
Driven by a joint recognition and need for inclusive leadership that addresses the issues for working women who are already in leadership or are just starting their career journey, INFINZ, Financial Services Council (FSC) including FSC’s Empower Women are coming together for an event series to create impactful change.
The ‘Empower & Elevate: Women in Finance’ leadership series will consist of three tailored events, each addressing a unique aspect of leadership development.
The first event ‘Inspiring Success’ takes place on Thursday 7 November, and focuses on understanding what good leadership looks like. It will highlight essential leadership skills, authentic stories from relatable role models, and practical advice on career planning.
“'Leveraging insights from our recent DEI report on obstacles facing women, INFINZ is excited to collaborate with the FSC and co-host this series,” said INFINZ Executive Director Jim McElwain.
“We are optimistic that this effort will not only empower women but also unite a community of leaders eager to drive significant change in the finance sector,” said Mr. McElwain.
“The effectiveness of a collaborative approach has long been identified to drive sector change and these events aim to create a robust platform for discussion, learning and action,” said FSC Acting CEO Haydee Stroud.
“We are excited about this commitment from FSC and INFINZ and see this as a great opportunity to build on the successful ‘It Starts With Action’ campaign to move beyond dialogue to foster real and impactful change in our industry,” said Tracey Cross, Chair of FSC’s Empower Women Working Group.
The second and third events, scheduled for 2025, will focus on key issues in leadership. The second event will bring together senior leaders who have embedded shifts in their organisations to support women in leadership with practical examples to help organisations effect change. The third event will explore the concept of male allyship and strategies for fostering inclusivity.
Tickets to the first event are available here.
