The Financial Services Council (FSC) NZ Board are pleased to advise the appointment of Haydee Stroud as Acting CEO as incumbent Richard Klipin prepares for departure.

Haydee Stroud joined the FSC in 2017 and has delivered key projects to build, lead and guide the organisation, which include developing the FSC strategy and strategic framework, the FSC Code of Conduct and the industry-wide data programme.

“Haydee has played a key part in the FSC’s growth and success over the last seven years, and holds a wealth of knowledge and experience in the FSC’s ecosystem, operations and vision,” said FSC Board Chair Rob Flannagan.

“We are confident that Haydee will lead the FSC with stable hands and sustain the momentum the FSC has built in 2024 whilst the Board continues recruitment for a CEO,” said Mr. Flannagan.

“I am humbled at the appointment and thank the Board and Board Chair Rob Flannagan for the opportunity,” said Ms. Stroud.

“Over my time at the FSC I’ve been passionate about combining tangible activity and bringing members together to deliver outcomes for the industry,” Ms. Stroud stated. “I look forward to serving the FSC team and community.”

Ms. Stroud’s career has spanned the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, with over 30 years in financial services in areas including strategy, risk management, business improvement and relationship management.

Ms. Stroud will fully step into the role on Wednesday 8 May, acting until the new permanent CEO joins the FSC.

“I look forward to collaborating strategically with the sector, government and regulators to grow the financial confidence and wellbeing of all New Zealanders,” said Ms. Stroud.
