The Financial Services Council is delighted to have formally approved a new Diversity and Inclusion Committee at our most recent Board meeting. A more diverse and inclusive profession will ultimately shape better financial outcomes for all New Zealanders, as well as generally building a stronger future for the financial services industry.
To inform our diversity and inclusion initiatives moving forward, we would like to get an idea of the policies in place within our member organisations. A survey has been sent out to a representative of each of our members, and we’d appreciate you taking the time to fill it out and tell us about diversity and inclusion at your organisation [*survey is now closed*].
Subject to lockdown, we will be formally launching our Diversity & Inclusion Committee at the ReGenerations conference, with a lineup of diversity and inclusion-themed events including the launch of new diversity research, the Women In Super breakfast and a panel with Whai Rawa's David Tikao, Theresa Gattung and AIA Vitality Ambassador, Dame Valerie Adams.
We are also planning a joint project with Te Ara Ahunga Ora Retirement Commission to support the financial capability of women as part of their National Strategy.
Want to be involved?
The FSC and our new Committee Co-Chairs, Tracey Cross (DLA Piper) and Kristy Redfern (AIA), are looking for engaged people from our member organisations to get involved. If you would like to join the Committee, or would like to know more, please get in touch.
