We held a free action-focused session on how to address the gender retirement gap on Thursday 7 July at Westpac.
Watch the replay below:
According to FSC research, women are less confident about their finances and worry more about money than men do. With the gender pay gap currently sitting above 9%, it's not news to anyone that women earn less than men in Aotearoa, and also have 20% less in retirement savings. This gap is even wider for women of Māori, Pasifika and Asian descent.
The time for simply talking about the issues is well past; we need to bring about impactful change.
This event is a call to action! An opportunity to identify and discuss the changes that can be implemented to start to fix the gap. Changes that can be proactively promoted by financial services industry participants and the wider community.
Our panel of experts presented their solutions for bridging the gender retirement gap.
Kindly hosted by Westpac NZ and supported by Women in Super.
