More confident. Less confident.
New Zealanders are becoming more confident with money, but financial pressure is still taking a toll on wellbeing, relationships and resilience.
FSC’s 2026 Financial Resilience Index shows financial confidence is rising, with 90% of New Zealanders saying they feel confident making financial decisions.
But pressure remains. Most New Zealanders still worry about money regularly, and financial stress is affecting mental health, relationships and short-term resilience.
Now in its seventh year, the Index tracks how New Zealanders are feeling, planning and preparing across financial confidence, literacy, preparedness, job security and wellbeing.
