Is consumer change driving regulatory change?

This joint life and health insurer panel will debate what’s happening in regulation locally and globally, as well as the impact of regulation on consumers here in New Zealand and other jurisdictions. 

Clare Bolingford from the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) will set the scene in terms of recent regulatory change and what's in the pipeline, before our panel discusses issues such as:

• climate change and ESG
• how the approach adopted by the FMA compares to other jurisdictions, particularly Australia
• settings around financial advice
• innovation and a comparison between innovation in health vs life insurance
• the connection between consumer and regulatory change
• the Insurance Contract Bill
